Colin Campbell is an internet pioneer with over 28 years of experience in building successful companies. He and his partners have collectively built several internet companies with a combined valuation of nearly $1 billion, including Tucows Interactive (TCX), a leading domain and telecom business and one of the top software download sites of the 90s; Internet Direct Canada Inc. (TSX: IDX), which was Canada’s largest ISP in the 90s; Hostopia.com Inc. (TSX: H), a global leader in providing hosting and email platforms to telecoms such as AT&T and Earthlink; GeeksForLess.com, an 800-person global software development center; US SDS/Canada SDS, a safety data sheet company and .Club Domains, LLC., an alternative domain extension to .com, .net, and .org, with almost 1 million registrations worldwide. Colin’s companies have won several awards, including Canada’s Profit magazine’s 7th fastest-growing company (1998), Canada’s Profit magazine #1 fastest-growing company (1999), Inc. 500 (2005), Inc. 5000 Paw.com (2019, 2020, 2021). He was also a founding director of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) launching the .CA top-level domain, and through Internet Direct Campbell and partners launched the largest NAP (Network Access Point) in Canada called the Toronto Internet Exchange (TORIX.CA). Colin has spoken at universities and events globally on entrepreneurship and is the owner and managing director of Startup Club (Startup.club), the largest club on Clubhouse. He also founded Help for Ukraine Club, supporting victims of the war in Mykolaev, Ukraine. Colin recently signed a publishing deal with Forbes Advantage to release the book “Start, Scale, Exit, Repeat” in 2023. Colin and partners continue to launch new companies, including a Startups.club incubator, Escape Club, a vacation rental company in South Florida, HipOptical, a fashion-forward eyewear company, PoemAI.com, an AI based personalized gift company, and Paw.com, a designer dog products company.
